Privacy Policy

Information we collect

None. Returno has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no backend service. We do not operate servers that receive your data, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking software of any kind.

Information stored on your device

What you enter into Returno is saved locally on your iPhone and is not accessible to us:

• Purchase records you create, including store name, description, purchase date, amount, and the return window applied.
• Warranty records, including product, brand, category, coverage length, and any notes you add.
• Receipt photos you attach, kept as image files in the app’s private storage area.
• Scheduled reminders, which are held by iOS on your device.

This information never leaves your iPhone unless you choose to move it yourself, for example by including the app in an encrypted device backup you control.

Camera and photo access

If you scan a receipt, Returno uses your camera to read the text. If you import a receipt instead, it reads the photo you select. All text recognition runs on your device using Apple’s built-in frameworks. Images and the text taken from them are never uploaded, and the app cannot browse your photo library. iOS only hands over the individual photos you pick.

You can turn off camera or photo access at any time in iOS Settings. The app still works, and you would enter purchases by hand.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled directly on your device. They are not push notifications. No external service is involved, and nothing about your purchases is sent anywhere to deliver them. Turning down notification permission does not stop you from using the app.

Retailer return policy information

Returno includes a built-in reference list of common retailer return windows, bundled with the app. Looking up a policy happens on your device. No request is made to any retailer or to us, and no record of what you bought or where you shopped is transmitted.

Purchases

If you buy a subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple’s handling of that transaction is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Deleting your data

You can delete any individual purchase or warranty inside the app, which also removes its attached receipt image and cancels its reminders. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes all of its data permanently. Because we hold no copy of anything, there is nothing for you to request from us and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Children

Returno is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Returno adds a feature that changes how information is handled, such as optional iCloud sync, we will update this policy before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
